This edition is a continuation of the publication of the national economy entities issued by the Statistical Office in Olsztyn in previous years.

The source of the published data constitutes the National Official Business Register, REGON conducted by the President of Statistics Poland on ground of Act of 29 June 1995 on Official Statistic (Journal of Laws 2020 item 443, with later amendments) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 30 November 2015 on the mode and methodology of running and updating of business register.

The publication contains information about entities recorded in the REGON register grouped by different criteria. Diverse cross-section presentation and comparing data to previous years allow the observations and analysis of changes in the structure of the national economy entities. Presented changes concerns among others: ownership sector, kind of activity, size and legal forms of entities. The elaboration consists of synthesis, statistical tables as well as methodological notes. Information are presented by units of territorial division: subregions, powiats and gminas as well as against the background of other voivodships in the country.
